Notice the typical Dene ejective profile, beginning with a short burst, followed by a period of silence, and then releasing into the vowel. Also note the disproportionate length of the sounds of the final syllable, which comprise the stem.

The alveolar lateral ejective affricate in word- and stem-initial position. Note also that the final stop d [d] is voiced.
